At Harness, the Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales of Harness solutions into the mid-market and top tier real estate, insurance, financial services and other sectors for growth both in the UK and abroad. working with the C.R.O. and alongside the sales and customer team. Key to Harness’s success is the culture and the successful candidate should be able to have fun whist being professional and possess a drive to succeed.
The addressable marketplace for Harness products is wide and varied and the role of Business Development Manager will engage with all departments to help shape the direction of the business with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
This is a permanent role with a salary range depending on experience.
Our team is currently based remotely across England & Spain. We have regular team meetings and events in London with a client and prospect base majorly centred around London (at present).
Responsible for creating pipeline of qualified business opportunities for designated markets
Develop and implement effective outbound strategies to prospect and target new clients, by utilising a number of available sales tools
Work effectively with other departments to create strategies and opportunities
Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets for assigned markets and territories
Maintain a high client satisfaction across book of business
Provide client feedback to help shape the direction of development, marketing focus and drive customer satisfaction
Effective reporting using Salesforce (or other crm) and other mechanisms to communicate activities and help refine sales metrics.
Maintaining ongoing and regular dialogue with key market participants.
Communicate, present and influence all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level
Articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
Present the value of a proposition through proposals and presentations
Position products against existing practices and competitors.
A minimum 3+ years of proven sales experience within a B2B environment, selling SaaS solutions, data solutions, data management and/or analysis solutions or other relevant relatable areas.
Entrepreneurial self-starter with a willingness to engage with others and build relationships
Multi-directional communication skills, open to feedback and development with the confidence to effectively communicate at the highest level.
A consistent and proven achiever of required activity levels, sales results, and customer satisfaction.
Ability to understand, learn and communicate complex enterprise software solutions and to explain the benefits from a granular to a holistic level.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM and a dedication to keeping relevant reporting systems current and accurate.
Good organisational skills and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving company.
Enthusiastic, collaborative, and approachable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Strong solution-oriented attitude – cutting through complexities by being clear and decisive and not overcomplicating things.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines
